Craig caught lying about Teirab’s abortion position

BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Republican candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District Joe Teirab issued the following statement after his opponent Angie Craig’s campaign released an ad blatantly lying about Teirab’s position on abortion. A KSTP “Truth Test” gave the ad a “D” for the falsehoods.
“It’s hardly surprising that Angie’s latest attack ad was found to be false and misleading. Like a typical career politician, Angie has resorted to lying about my stance on abortion because she can’t tell the truth about her failures on the economy, the border, and education.
“I’ve been very clear: the federal government should not dictate to states, especially Minnesota, what their abortion policy should be. I would vote against any federal ban or restrictions on abortion, and I support exceptions. This is a deeply personal issue and it’s sad that Angie Craig would use it as a wedge to score political points. Angie’s continued lying on the issue is just a desperate attempt to distract from her own record.”
“Angie Craig talks a lot about corruption in Washington, meanwhile her party is attempting to manipulate the election in her favor. Angie Craig owes her constituents answers on what she knew about this election interference and if she will denounce her party’s corrupt tactics.”
