BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Today, the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police endorsed Joe Teirab for Congress in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District. The Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police represents over 1,750 law enforcement officers across the state and the decision to endorse is made directly by a vote from the membership body.
"The Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police is happy to announce our endorsement for Joe Teirab. Joe's commitment of supporting law enforcement has been evident in his work as a state and federal prosecutor,” the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police. “Joe's commitment to supporting law enforcement both nationwide and right here in Minnesota resonated with the members of the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police, resulting in this endorsement.”
“Many of the issues that Joe is prioritizing align with the issues that Minnesota's Law Enforcement Officers are feeling while working to protect and serve communities across the state. The members of the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police are proud to endorse Joe Teirab in his run for Congress,” the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police concluded.
In a statement, Teirab said, “I am beyond humbled to have the endorsement of the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police. My highest honor as a prosecutor was getting to work side-by-side with law enforcement to hold criminals accountable. It saddens me when I hear from police officers who feel they have been let down by their current elected officials.
We can do better. Law enforcement will have my unwavering support when I am in Congress.”
