Teirab hits $1.5 million for the cycle with strong Q2 fundraising totals - (07/11/24)

BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Joe Teirab, candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District, announced today that his campaign raised nearly $700k in Q2, bringing the campaign’s total for the cycle to over $1.5 million. The campaign ended the quarter with over $813k cash on hand. “I continue to be honored by the support for our campaign to defeat Angie Craig and bring conservative representation back to CD2,” said Teirab. “This campaign is about getting back to the basics, putting our country back on the right track, and saving the American Dream — and that’s a message that is resonating with folks across the district.”

With Teirab as the candidate, Minnesota’s Second Congressional District continues to be a top opportunity for Republicans to add to their majority in the House. Teirab’s strong fundraising further bolsters Republicans’ chances of defeating Craig this cycle.

“I’m especially humbled that our average individual donation is just $21. In this economy especially, I know every dollar matters in family budgets. The fact that people are giving their hard-earned money to support our mission means so much to me and further fuels my resolve that we need new leadership,” Teirab added.

While Teirab solidifies his standing as the only viable Republican candidate, Craig finds herself in a difficult position with President Biden’s precipitously decreasing popularity. Within the last week, Craig has quickly moved to distance herself from the president, joining a growing number of vulnerable Democrats in calling for Biden to end his campaign. The recent about-face comes after years of being a loyal supporter of the president, voting with his agenda 100% of the time and visiting the White House five times.

“Angie was all-in on Biden and his agenda until it became a political liability. She can try to separate herself from the failures of this administration now, but it’s too late to rebrand herself. The people of CD2 have had enough of open borders, high inflation, and crime out of control, and they aren’t going to let Angie off the hook now,” Teirab concluded.
