Teirab demands Moriarty’s resignation, calls on Craig to stand up to Moriarty - (03/11/24)
BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Joe Teirab, candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District, issued the following statement on the latest court filings in State Patrol Trooper Ryan Londregan’s case showing he acted lawfully to save his partner.
“Today’s bombshell revelation that Mary Moriarty has been hiding an opinion from a use-of force expert in Trooper Londregan’s case that found that he acted lawfully to save his partner is further confirmation of what we already knew: this is a blatantly political prosecution. She was a failed public defender and her bias against law enforcement is painfully obvious.
“As a former state and federal prosecutor, this brazen attempt to cover up the truth makes me sick. This is the justice system at its absolute worst. What Mary Moriarty has proven beyond a reasonable doubt is that she cannot be trusted to pursue justice. She should resign in disgrace.
“From the very beginning, Angie Craig has been silent on Trooper Londregan’s case. She voices support to law enforcement when it’s convenient, but won’t stand up to the radicals in her party that have put a target on law enforcement’s back. This has to change. Angie Craig must stand up to Mary Moriarty and join me in demanding she resign.”
