BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Joe Teirab, Republican candidate for Congress, issued the following statement on Angie Craig bailing on Biden to save her own election chances. 

“Angie Craig has proven yet again that she will say anything to stay in power, including tossing Joe Biden overboard after supporting in lockstep his terrible policies that have led to inflation and open borders.

“Angie’s sudden attempt to put daylight between her and Biden isn’t for the good of the American people—it’s a last ditch effort to save her own candidacy. Angie never had a problem with Joe Biden when she was voting with him 100% of the time. But now when his unpopularity and disastrous debate performance have made him too much of a liability, she’s pretending to distance herself.

“Biden’s decline didn’t come on suddenly—Angie has known Biden to be unfit far before his recent meandering and mumbling public appearances. At least Minnesota Democrat Dean Phillips called out what all of us knew was plainly obvious: Biden has been unfit to be president for a long time. If he’s not capable of campaigning, he’s not capable of governing. Angie must call on Biden to step down as president immediately.

“It’s too late for Angie to redefine herself this time. She’s going down with the ship. The people of CD2 will hold Angie accountable for enabling Biden’s disastrous presidency.”
